Loburg Summer School 2020

July 6th to August 7th 2020

Learning with head, heart and hand

Learning German during the holidays should be fun, therefore classes are held in groups as homogeneous as possible with age-based content.

„I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.“ This quote by Confucius underlines modern approaches to learning that involve as many senses as possible.

Seeing – feeling – smelling – hearing – tasting   Our dynamic teachers motivate their students to learn the German language „with all senses“ and to immerge intensively into this new language. And yet no substantial pressure to perform shall be generated, although the ojective is to pass the exam and receive a certificate at the end of the course.

The core area is the arrangement of communicative learning experiences which involve different kinds of interaction, such as trips into the countryside, active games or shopping in the next grocery.

Learning with and from each other

The young people learn by try and experience. Back in the classroom the linguistic experiences then will be formed by complementary into an overall view. Various learning settings will create sources of communication: The students will explain things to each other or they will form teams with the task of presenting the answers. The basic principle is to learn with each other and from each other.

Of course we don’t miss out on the use of diverse media and need-based learning materials. Our Summer School offers a holistic and enduring source of learning and expanding skills of the German language and first and foremost for diversified learning methods and learning contents that are really cool!

We are international – language connects us!

We divide our students into two groups depending on their previous knowledge: beginners without any previous knowledge resp. A1-level (group B) and a group of advanced students on a B1-level (group A).

Both groups will have a corresponding exam at the end of the course and the students will receive a certificate with the result of their tests.

Our courses are designed for students from 12/13 years on.
